Just minutes before the keynote speaker took the stage, Ashley and Rosalie were squeezing in some DentalMonitoring check ins and appointment scheduling, making sure our patients' treatment stays on track no matter where our team happens to be.
DentalMonitoring allows us to check in on your progress remotely between visits, so small issues get caught early and your treatment timeline doesn't get delayed. It's one of the many ways we make sure your care keeps moving forward, even when we're out learning how to make it even better.
July 7 is Smiles at 7 Day!
Tuesday, July 7, 2026The American Association of Orthodontists has named July 7th "Smiles at 7 Day," and it's a great reminder of something we tell parents often: age 7 is the recommended age for a child's first orthodontic checkup.
Here's what that visit is actually about. At age 7, a child's jaw is still growing and their adult teeth are starting to come in behind the baby teeth. That combination gives us a window to spot things early, like crowding, bite issues, or jaw growth patterns, while there's still time to guide development if needed.
The good news for most families: an early visit doesn't usually mean early treatment. Most 7 year olds we see simply get a clean bill of health and a plan to check back in down the road. But for the small number who do benefit from early intervention, catching it at 7 can make a real difference and sometimes simplify treatment later on.

Thursday, July 2, 2026A proud Vernon Hills High School graduate, Maricel just wrapped up her freshman year at The University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where she's studying molecular and cellular biology with an eye toward a future in dentistry. 🦷✨
This summer, she'll be lending a hand in our sterilization lab and picking up some orthodontic assisting skills along the way. We love that it's a win-win: Maricel gains real, hands-on experience as she explores a career in dental care, and our team gets an extra set of helping hands during our busy summer season.
Supporting the next generation of dentists and orthodontists is something we're truly passionate about. 😁 She's already been a great addition to the team!

A Sweet Surprise at Buffalo Grove Orthodontics in Celebration of the 4th of July!
Wednesday, July 1, 2026There's nothing like a homemade treat to kick off a holiday weekend! In celebration of the 4th of July, the team at Buffalo Grove Orthodontics was treated to a batch of festive, star-spangled sugar cookies, lovingly baked and delivered by one of our patient's moms.
The cookies came from Lemon Tiramisu, a European-style bakery in Park Ridge, Illinois, offering custom cakes and fresh weekly bakes. This isn't the first time they've spoiled our team, and we're grateful every single time!
