Any orthodontic problem can be treated at any age. However, it is important to understand that the need to extract permanent teeth, the amount of treatment time, the complexity of treatment required and the quality and stability of the final result are very much determined by the age of the patient. That is why the American Association of Orthodontists recommends an orthodontic evaluation by the age of seven.

Children who aren’t ready for orthodontic treatment will benefit from an early evaluation by having their growth and development monitored by Dr. Weintraub and Dr. Eltink at no charge. Our doctors will determine the optimal time to start treatment for each child.

While people tend to associate orthodontics with children, over 35% of orthodontic patients are adults. Today’s less noticable braces and aligners have contributed to this popularity. Adults of all ages can fully appreciate the benefits of orthodontic treatment – a great smile, improved self-confidence and better dental health.
