About Us : Neil H. Weintraub, D.M.D., M.S.
Dr. Weintraub graduated from the University of Illinois in 1974. He was awarded a Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Biology and a minor in Chemistry completing all the required coursework in a three-year period. He graduated from Loyola University Dental School in 1978 and was awarded his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree "cum laude." His orthodontic training and residency was completed at the prestigious Northwestern University Dental School in 1980 where he also earned a Master of Science degree.

Dr. Weintraub held a faculty teaching position in the Graduate Orthodontic Department of Northwestern University Dental School from 1980 until the department closed in 2000. During these years he assisted in the training of more than 100 orthodontic specialists. He was also responsible for teaching general orthodontic diagnosis courses to more than 1,000 dental students.

He has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on various topics including severe malocclusions ("bite problems") requiring combined orthodontic treatment and orthognathic (jaw repositioning) surgery.

Dr. Weintraub has also served as a board member to the Illinois Society of Orthodontists, and is currently vice-chairman of the dental staff at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. In addition, he has treated more than 7,000 patients over the 20 plus years he has been practicing in our community.

Dr. Weintraub has been married for more than 25 years to his lovely wife, Kim, and lives in Long Grove. They have two daughters who both graduated with honors from the University of Southern California (Go Trojans!). Stefanie, their older daughter, is currently completing an M.B.A. degree at the Stern School of Business at New York University. Their younger daughter, Marla, lives in Manhattan Beach, California and is an event planner in the entertainment industry in the Los Angeles area.

Dr. Weintraub is a U.S. history buff with many diverse interests including antique auto restoration, home improvement, snow skiing, motorcycling and is still daring enough for a once in a lifetime risk like free fall skydiving!
